Play based on motifs from William Shakespeare's The Tempest
Shakespeare's Tempest tells of the fate of Prospero, who was overthrown and expelled by his power-hungry brother. Since then, Prospero, who is a magician, has ruled over the nature of a barren island, to which he was able to escape with his daughter Miranda. Twelve years later, when a ship of the Neapolitan fleet sails by, Prospero unleashes a violent storm and leaves his enemies stranded. Shakespeare's magic comedy tells of power and oppression, of revenge, remorse and love.
Players from the St. Gallen Theatre and the St. Gallen Comedy Theatre – the only professional theatre by and with people with disabilities in Eastern Switzerland – make Shakespeare's Tempest their own and tell the story of Shakespeare's history.
